THE GROVE

The Grove is Quinnipiac’s newest dorm, designed with sustainability, collaboration, and student pride at its core. To match the building’s thoughtful architecture and natural surroundings, we created a series of custom environmental graphics that bring personality, meaning, and a sense of place to the space.

Each of the building’s three corner wings was given a theme inspired by its view and location: local wildlife, trees, and bodies of water. The wildlife wing, which faces Sleeping Giant, features animals native to the area—starting with bobcats at the lower levels and rising to hawks at the top, echoing their natural ecosystem. The tree-themed wing looks out over the remains of our historic pine grove, while the water wing faces the peaceful creek that runs through campus.

To tie it all together, we developed a custom color palette that complements Quinnipiac’s brand while giving each wing its own identity. Hand-drawn patterns—hatchmarks for fur and nests, woodgrain, and water waves—add texture and character, making The Grove a fun and inspiring place students are proud to call home.
